🥳Meet Me🥳
Hi, my name is Vivek Kommi, I am a 14-year-old from Cambridge, UK. I am crazy about upcoming technologies in the world like AI, Nanotech, Robotics, IoT, and much more!
🧠The Knowledge Society(TKS) 🧠
Last month I joined TKS in the innovator virtual program. TKS is a company based in Toronto, Canada that trains teenagers to become the “New Elon Musk's of the world”. They not only guide us with motivation and knowledge but they teach us real-life skills like connecting to industry experts. So far we have learned about AI, Blockchain, Longevity, and technical skills like presenting/pitching and teamwork. Also, we also learned about mindsets such as:
Curiosity🤔: The mindset of being accountable for the work you do and as well as creating high-standard content
Bias towards action💣: The mindset to overcome procrastination by just committing to the tasks you have to do
Appreciation💸: The mindset about appreciating that we are gifted in SO MANY WAYS and using it to care for those who are not in the position we are in
For these past 2 months, what have I been doing???
Well… A lot
I have written 2 articles on Nanotechnology:
Graphene and its applications.
How Nanotechnology can help cure Glioblastoma(Brain Tumour)
I connected with people from across the globe🌎🤝🏽:
Brain-dates are a term used in TKS to describe meetings with keen ambitious people from TKS. I have had 6 brain-dates so far!
Well, what else???
🧬The Big Biology Day🧬
So I took part in an event in Hills Road 6th Form in Cambridge. It was a lifetime experience as I got to meet many industry experts from big companies such as AstraZeneca and the University of Cambridge. I learnt about many fascinating research areas like algae and mitochondria and witnessed very cool projects like an AI simulator of cell division!
This was a great opportunity to speak to experts and overall it was a fantastic day.
🥋Tang So Doo Tornament🥋
Tang Soo Do is a martial art that originates from Korea. I first started this martial art 7 years ago and on the 22nd of October I got to go to my first tornament in Watord, UK. It was extrodinary. Over 1,000 people attended!
It was very tense as the fights were occuring but overall in my age group I finished :
3rd🥉 and 2nd🥈
Overall this was a great experience as it help me improve my endurance and confidence in myself.
The key takeaways from this month:
Commit🚦 - don’t let yourself procrastinate, always be up for a challenge
Keep moving🏃🏾 - don’t give up and keep on pushing yourself to the next level
Be considerate👨🏾🦯 - you are gifted and look out and care for those who need it
